East Greenwich Marina called us onboard to help with website improvements, SEO, and run paid Facebook ads to push their boat slips before the summer season.
We first ran a full website audit to determine how their site ranked and where there was room for improvement.
The website audit revealed several areas we could improve upon so they could raise their organic rank above competitors. To begin, we conducted in-depth research about the boating industry and analyzed competitor sites to determine how they stack up against them. We saw an opportunity to leverage their website content by writing valuable, SEO friendly content centered around what makes their marina different.
We also designed branded page headers that were placed on each page of their website. This creative branding element added a bit more character and personality to the site.

In addition, we made some adjustments to the format of the site including things like the navigation, page names, and images to dress it up. We added an FAQ page to leverage the opportunity to answer questions boaters may have and a blog page to begin developing a content strategy.

Facebook Ads Campaign:
In the midst of spicing up their website, we also launched a Facebook Ads campaign using a lead gen objective, promoting their boat slip special to push the remaining slips before the summer season begins.
Facebook ad design
Here’s what the Facebook ad looked like.

The Facebook ad did fantastic with 31 total leads that we passed along to the client.
In addition to this (since we were hired in February) DDL effectively helped East Greenwich Marina improve their organic rank, fixed technical site errors, and developed an ongoing blog content strategy.
